#1) its a book about an indian girl who covered her face becuase she was burned, but at the end, she dove into a lake of something, and she was pretty again...i have NO idea about that title...

#2 is Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs by Judi Barrett, great book! I also liked Stone Soup, Caps for Sale, Alexander and the terrible horrible no good very bad day,Where the wild things are, Amelia Bedelia, Madeline, The Berenstien Bears, Clifford, Arthur, Miss Nelson is Missing, Miss Nelson is Back, The Story about Ping, Lyle Lyle Crocodile, If you give a mouse a cookie, If you throw a pig a party, all of Shel Silverstien's poem books.
Absolute favorite was Tikki Tikki Tembo by Arlene Mosel and Blair Lent. It is sooooo much fun to read out loud. Amazon.com has a great selection of kids books
Reply:I have no idea about the two you are looking for, but I would suggest any books by Robert Munsch. My son loves his books.
Honestly I loved them when I was growing up...Paper Bag Princess was a favorite.
