"Matthew", "Mark", "Luke", & "John": As names go, Oh So Boring! What about "Judas" for a male child's name ?

I mean, it WOULD be Unique in a world of redundancy, don't you think???

"Matthew", "Mark", "Luke", %26amp; "John": As names go, Oh So Boring! What about "Judas" for a male child's name ?
Just name him Lucifer
Reply:Why? There must be a reason you're thinking of that as a name.

Care to share why? He'd probably end up getting it changed.
Reply:Sure, why not ?

It's just that the poor guy could be mocked.

I don't think any mother would want this.
Reply:he's either be called Hey Jude, or Traitor - as in the Beatles or Jesus.

Not a good idea.
Reply:Honestly that is a cruel thing to do to a child. I would wonder about the child's nutty, cruel parents.
Reply:Unique is an understatement! So is Shadrack. Igor has a certain - cachet. What about Nero?
Reply:Expect your child to be a death metal rockstar with that name.
Reply:....and it wouldn't be hard to live up to !!!
Reply:How about, "Himey"??
Reply:Lucifer...Try Lucifer!

:D
Reply:I prefer Melchizedek
Reply:The name Juda is actually the name Yudah in hebrew James is Yacob, and Mary is Miriam. And many others have been transliterated or altered in english including Jesus
Reply:Name your child whatever you want to. If someone chooses to name them after the other Disciples it's their business, not yours. I named one of my sons "James" and the other one "John" because it has a dual meaning. First "James" was my grandfather's name and "John" is my wife's grandfather's name. Second, James and John were brothers and disciples, "The Sons of Thunder". How many people name their child "Benedict ?" (as in Arnold)
Reply:how about buckethead

like the new GNR guitarist
Reply:if the middle or last name is preist even cooler
Reply:One form of Judas is pretty popular, Jude. In Hebrew it's Yudah (Judah).

I have a few cousins named Judah.

Why not name a child Jabez????? It means 'Pain'
Reply:Saint Jude was actually named Judas,a Greek variant of Judah , common among Jews at the time. And he was a relative of Jesus.

You were testing all of us, I know. You thought you were the only one that knew this. But you can't count on that nowadays. :)
Reply:how about Rasputin
Reply:Only if you're a Vile Temptress

*wink*
